“I’ve become a leader of men, which has translated into becoming a better leader for myself and for my family.”

In ARKA, we don’t just sit in circles—we train men to lead them.
Every man who joins us is invited into his own personal evolution, but those who feel the deeper call step further become the ones who hold the fire. The ones who take responsibility not just for their own growth, but for the growth of others.
Leadership in ARKA doesn’t come from a title.
It comes from embodiment.
It comes from the discipline to show up.
It comes from the willingness to face your shadow, speak your truth, and hold space for others to do the same.
Across North America, ARKA is led by a growing circle of over 75 Captains—men who have stepped into a higher level of service. These are men who have proven themselves not only through their own inner work, but by holding structure and depth for the evolution of their squad.
To become a Captain is not about status. It’s about stewardship.
Captains lead by example. They manage the rhythm of their squad, guide initiations, handle conflict, and hold the standard of integrity in our brotherhood.
Each one began as a member. Each one earned their place.
This is where leaders are made. Not selected—forged.
ARKA’s Leadership Training is a 16-week intensive for members only. It runs in a cohort model—10 to 15 men walking the path together, led by one of our top facilitators.
Each week includes:
You will be tested. You will be stretched. You will be seen.
This isn’t a check-the-box certification.
Not every man graduates. Some are held back and given specific feedback on what they need to grow. Others receive full certification. Every man receives a written report from his facilitator and peers—honest, detailed, and actionable.
The goal is not perfection.
The goal is integrity, capacity, and readiness to lead.
Your squad will meet every week for 2-3 hours.
We are not a casual, drop-in group. The transformative power of our squads is grounded in the ongoing, weekly commitment of each and every member. Men who cannot regularly attend meetings will be asked to leave. We have a culture of accountability, discipline, and integrity that brings out the King.
Men value what they pay for. In this community, you get to sit with men who are truly invested in making positive changes in their lives. Our men get results.
Our brotherhood has grown organically, from a single squad in 2015.
Each squad is led by a captain who has personally experienced the powerful personal growth that is achievable through commitment to our weekly, in-person or online men’s circles and 14-point code.
Each captain chooses to lead because of the transformational results he’s experienced in his own life and witnessed in the lives of the men around him.
Each leader is mentored by fellow squad captains, veteran captains and our founder, Phil T. Mistlberger.
We are a community. We are a network. We are brothers. We all have each other’s backs.
If there’s no squad where you live, join an online squad and build the skills to lead and change lives in your community.
“I’ve become a leader of men, which has translated into becoming a better leader for myself and for my family.”
“If you want a better, more satisfying and meaningful life, Join!”
“This brotherhood can help bring you the fire needed to build yourself up. Being in a safe space among other men where you can be open, honest and vulnerable is absolutely amazing!”
“You don’t have anything to lose. This is a great opportunity and, if you’re willing, you are guaranteed to take something away from this experience. Take a chance on this. It has worked for thousands of men.”
“It is so much more than I expected. I look forward to being with my squad every week and absolutely love being able to connect and grow with these men.”
“A weekly men’s circle and the work that flows from it is the most important, impactful, meaningful shift you can make to unlock your true potential, improve every relationship you have, and seize control of your life.”
We welcome anyone who identifies as a Man and aligns with our values in the 14-point code.
Our community is inclusive of men of all sexual orientations and ethnicities, including trans men.
Each squad has its own distinct approach to meetings, shaped by the leader(s) of that squad. During a meeting, you can expect honest conversations between the men, and exercises designed to illuminate, activate and transform. Expect to reveal your blindspots, set goals, and be held accountable. We also focus on embodiment work such as breathwork, meditation, and other physical exercises.
When you join a squad, all members will openly affirm their personal commitment to maintaining absolute confidentiality of everything shared within the squad meetings. This commitment is sacred. The content shared within our meetings does not get discussed anywhere else.
We welcome any adult male who aligns himself with our 14-point code. Many of our members consider themselves gay or bi-sexual, which includes some of our group leaders. We also welcome trans men and non-binary men who present as male.
We also have a private sub-group exclusively for ARKA members called The Sacred Band. This is a circle for members who are gay, bi, curious or questioning their sexuality and seeking a forum to share openly about their sexuality. This group meets once per month.
Membership fees enable us to pay an honorarium to our experienced group leaders and cover the business expenses associated with running our organization. Some of our expenses include space rentals, website maintenance, accounting and bookkeeping.
Membership dues are paid in advance monthly and are non-refundable. That said, we do not operate on a contract basis, so you are free to leave at any time. We encourage new members to attend 8+ meetings and stay with the process. It can take time to drop-in and feel comfortable in a men’s circle.
If you wish to leave, we encourage you to connect with your captain and share what’s not working for you. If your concerns cannot be resolved, your captain will invite you to share your intent to leave with the squad and hear their feedback. The squad will host a closing conversation and take the opportunity to resolve any outstanding issues.
Our focus is on the development of mature masculinity and fostering healthy relationships between Men. Our approach is to do this with “Mens-only” spaces, which we believe are as important as “Womens-only” spaces.
The personal development work that members undertake does not advocate for, nor is it in opposition to women, equality or the objectives of feminism.

Our annual events are open to non-members. Twice a year we gather in-person or online for a weekend of transformational work led by our founder Phil T. Mistberger and veteran squad captains.
