Cities and counting
This is a weekly circle for men who want to show up with more integrity, purpose, and support—alongside brothers committed to the work.
City: Lower Sunshine Coast | Captain(s): Andreas Tize, Shaun Friesen
In the Sunshine Coast men’s groups – Bengal Squad in Roberts Creek and Stallion Squad in Sechelt – we sit together on a weekly basis for the purpose of healing, personal growth, and leadership development. Our groups are tight-knit, with strict attendance standards, which results in a secure and reliable container for the inner work we do.
Our members practice speaking the truth, listening for the truth, and upholding a culture and structure that supports inner transformation. We know how to hold space for one another’s feelings, and we also practice bringing the element of fire, challenge, and accountability to each other.
We seek to integrate and balance the four mature masculine archetypes: The King, Warrior, Magician, and The Lover along with illuminating and acknowledging their shadow elements. An integrated man is one who knows and accepts all parts of himself. This is our work.
If you’re looking for a place to grow alongside other men who are walking the path with intention, this is that place.
Andreas has been a member of Bengal Squad since 2021 and leading it since 2024. He is a Breathwave trained Breathwork Facilitator and is studying to offer relational somatic integration work. He also runs a local business and is a husband and father.
Shaun Friesen has been a member of Arka since 2022. He became Co-Captain of Bengal Squad alongside Andreas in 2025, before founding Stallion Squad in Sechelt later that year. He is studying counselling psychology and works in marketing, leading a team of communications professionals at a provincial radio broadcaster.

“This brotherhood has changed my life in many ways. I’ve learned a lot about self-awareness, compassion, accountability, and trust.”
“It’s so much deeper and impactful than I ever expected. I didn’t realize how much I needed the influence and connection of other conscious men.”
“I have been able to stay off of porn, engage in relationships with more energy, and create structure with consistency in my career goals. I’m connected and accountable to the growth I want in my life.”
“I can bring any issue or obstacle to these men and they will hold space, listen, get curious and challenge me to grow.”
“I’ve lost weight, started running, and begun to develop my own business. I’ve overcome a lack of purpose and turned a contentious relationship with my father into a nourishing and rewarding relationship.”
“Since joining the Brotherhood I have grown in every way possible. I have started two successful businesses and I am actually allowing myself to follow what my heart and soul want to do.”
“I’ve become a better leader, feel more confident and powerful, redefined my identity in true masculinity (rather than performative masculinity), healed my relationships with other men, and learned to identify and train leaders around me.”
“I’ve never been so vulnerable with any group of men in my life. I no longer play small, and I’ve found the strength to express my truth.”
