Cities and counting
A weekly Salt Spring Island men’s group for men who want grounded connection, a clear container, and accountability that turns insight into action.
City: Salt Spring Island | Captain(s): Ben Goresky and Rigo Kefferputz
In the Salt Spring Island men’s groups we sit together on a weekly basis for the purpose of healing, personal growth, and leadership development. Our groups are tight-knit, with strict attendance standards, which results in a secure and reliable container for the inner-work we do.
Our members practice speaking the truth, listening for the truth, and creating a disciplined container. We know how to hold space for one another’s feelings, and we also practice bringing the element of fire, challenge, and accountability to each other.
We seek to integrate and balance the four mature masculine archetypes: The King, Warrior, Magician, and The Lover along with illuminating and acknowledging their shadow elements. An integrated man is one who knows and accepts all parts of himself. This is our work.
If you’re looking for a place to grow alongside other men who are walking the path with intention, this is that place.
Ben Goresky is a men's counsellor and coach focussed on addiction recovery, conscious relationships, and men's leadership training. He is the host of The Evolving Man podcast, and also sits as a co-director for The Arka Brotherhood. His Arka group (King Cobra) meets every Monday on Salt Spring Island.
Rigobert Kefferputz is a Naturopathic Doctor, Men’s Coach, and International Speaker dedicated to elevating personal wellbeing and mindset. He focuses on supporting vitality – mentally, physically and emotionally. He leads the Arka Group (Kraken), meeting Mondays on Salt Spring Island.

If you’ve been searching for a men’s group on Salt Spring Island, this is a clear way in, built on honest conversation, deep listening, and accountability that carries into the rest of your life. Whether you join in person, stay connected online, or step into events, the standard stays the same: be real, do the work, and follow through.
In this Salt Spring Island men’s group, men work with the mature masculine archetypes—King, Warrior, Magician, and Lover, to build leadership that’s integrated, not performative. The work is practical: speak the truth, stay present under pressure, receive challenge cleanly, and lead yourself with discipline so it shows up at home, at work, and in your relationships.
Our community is guided by The Code of the Conscious Warrior designed by our founder Phil T. Mistlberger. It is a 14-point code of conduct that reflects the values of our brotherhood and provides a solid foundation to live by.

“This brotherhood has changed my life in many ways. I’ve learned a lot about self-awareness, compassion, accountability, and trust.”
“It’s so much deeper and impactful than I ever expected. I didn’t realize how much I needed the influence and connection of other conscious men.”
“I have been able to stay off of porn, engage in relationships with more energy, and create structure with consistency in my career goals. I’m connected and accountable to the growth I want in my life.”
“I can bring any issue or obstacle to these men and they will hold space, listen, get curious and challenge me to grow.”
“I’ve lost weight, started running, and begun to develop my own business. I’ve overcome a lack of purpose and turned a contentious relationship with my father into a nourishing and rewarding relationship.”
“Since joining the Brotherhood I have grown in every way possible. I have started two successful businesses and I am actually allowing myself to follow what my heart and soul want to do.”
“I’ve become a better leader, feel more confident and powerful, redefined my identity in true masculinity (rather than performative masculinity), healed my relationships with other men, and learned to identify and train leaders around me.”
“I’ve never been so vulnerable with any group of men in my life. I no longer play small, and I’ve found the strength to express my truth.”
